Association of Cantabrian Consultants in Maflow 4.0

Yesterday morning, Friday, a team of members from the Cantabria Consulting Association, a body comprised of the region's leading consulting firms, visited the Guarnizo facilities to learn about the latest developments from MAFLOW Spain Automotive regarding the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The team of consultants with specific training and experience were informed about the processes carried out towards digital transformation and the future initiatives that Maflow Spain has, with 3D Additive Manufacturing, made up of 3D printing equipment (HP Jet Fusion 4200, FDM and SLA) being responsible for opening a range of possibilities for Maflow, in which Marcos Díaz (General Manager & KAM for General Motors at Maflow Spain Automotive) made special reference to having a technology capable of reducing development, production and process improvement costs, also because it is one of the levers of real change in the digital transformation of the Industry.

During the visit, the association members were able to see firsthand the finishes, shaping, and modeling, thus confirming the advantages of this type of production.

FUTURE PLANS

This company doesn't plan to stop there. Its immediate plans include entering new sectors such as healthcare and food, thus further diversifying its client portfolio. "A change in model and a commitment to Additive Manufacturing, which we hope will also be promoted by the Government of Cantabria, which plans to create a healthcare cluster and a technology hub in which we will be integrated through 3D printing."

For now, they are taking the necessary steps to achieve their objectives and are consolidating the role of Services Bureau by focusing on prototyping, short series, ultra-fast manufacturing (less than 3 days in delivery times), leadership of the additive manufacturing ecosystem in Cantabria (with the aim of becoming a benchmark and supplier at European level), the development of applications based on coatings and finishes, and the creation of alliances with engineering companies to develop global manufacturing services: from analysis and solution of the problem to the delivery of the parts.

Consulting integrates business management activities aimed at developing capabilities and skills, internal processes, improving the client's value chain, and optimizing business results.
