18.2% of industrial employment in Cantabria is in the automotive sector.
Arasti inaugurated the National Meeting of Automotive Professionals organized by GIRA.
The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Tourism and Trade, Eduardo Arasti , has highlighted this Thursday that the automotive sector in Cantabria represents 18.2% of industrial employment, 26% of the Gross Domestic Product of the industry sector and 18% of the exports of the autonomous community.
Arasti praised these data at the opening of the National Meeting of Automotive Professionals, organized by the Automotive Cluster of Cantabria, in which representatives of more than 70 companies participated on Thursday. Among them, and as a manufacturer of BORYGO antifreeze and Air Conditioning pipes for vehicles, Maflow Spain Automotive, represented by Andrés Maneiro, Head of Logistics and Susana Barquín, member of the same Department, could not miss it.
The Minister also pointed out that the "importance" of GIRA for the Government is due to the fact that this cluster represents 94% of Cantabrian automotive companies, more than 6,000 jobs and a turnover of 2,340 million euros, as well as "a model of cooperation and creation of virtuous synergies".
