The Borygo brand celebrates its 50th anniversary

Fifty years have passed since the launch of the production of these fluids. Borygo is the oldest automotive radiator fluid in Poland.

The first cooling fluids in Poland based on glycerin, methanol and alcohols began to be produced just after World War II. For a long time their recipe was perfected, searching for a medium that would transport thermal energy between the engine and radiator and at the same time protected against freezing and boiling, and protect the engine and radiator components against corrosion and deposition of precipitates.

The result of many years of research was the creation of the first glycol-based coolant in Poland with a complete set of corrosion inhibitors. It happened on the way back, between 1968 and 1969. The improved liquid was named Borygo, after the excellent quality of dental cements produced in Boryszew, whose production was completed in the 1950s.

The production of liquids that has been going on for many years, and the fact that for many years Borygo was the only product of its kind on the market, perpetuated in the minds of Poles the popular thought pattern: Refrigerator liquid = BORYGO.

Due to rapidly changing technological changes, products must evolve along with the market, and the assortment will change with the recipients and their requirements, so specialized varieties of liquids have been introduced to the market in subsequent years.

Since 2014, the Borygo product offering has been expanded with de-icing agents intended for de-icing and airplanes.

Winter conditions are a challenge not only for drivers and the airline industry. Antifreeze products can also be used in the railway industry, the electrical industry and many other industries.

The company's ambition is to create a range of BORYGO antifreeze/coolant products that will allow them to be used wherever frost and atmospheric precipitation can cause danger to our engine.
