Maflow participates in the Business Forum designed as a bridge to the Visegrád market.

Representing the Cantabrian technology company has done Marcos Diaz, Manager of Maflow Spain Automotive, manufacturer of piping for air conditioning and mobile refrigeration systems and producer of automotive fluids BORYGO and the President of Ascentic, Pablo de Castro.

Fifty Cantabrian companies are participating today in the various events organized within the Business Forum promoted by CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria to serve as a bridge to the Visegrad countries, an international market with 64.3 million inhabitants and which is the fifth largest economy in Europe and number 12 in the world.

The President of Cantabria Miguel Angel Revilla, the Mayor of Santander Gema Igual and the Vice President of CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria, Javier Rodriguez participated in the opening ceremony, which was also attended by Enikö Györy, Ambassador of Hungary, representing the countries of Visegrad, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Györy pointed out that the way forward lies in R+D+i initiatives, new technologies and attracting talent and "connecting in every way, between us, with Europe and the rest of the world". In the case of relations between Cantabria and Hungary, he highlighted their common strength in the automotive sector and in terms of innovation in this same field.

For his part, Miguel Angel Revilla, after congratulating the CEOE for organizing this meeting with the business delegation of these European countries, stressed that they have a "huge future" and the Government of Cantabria and "glimpsed" these good expectations in the current legislature and therefore promoted the Seve Ballesteros airport connections with the cities of Warsaw and Budapest, which also have a "great success".

The vice president of CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria has recalled that "throughout 2017, from the organization we have supported the first steps in the export of a dozen agri-food companies that have started their expansion in the United Kingdom, we have contributed to Cantabrian companies to establish trade relations with 87 large European companies and we have carried out 23 actions to advise companies on industrial property or on aid from the European Union". Javier Rodríguez pointed out that currently some 60 companies from the Community maintain regular commercial relations with these countries. Of these, 35 Cantabrian companies maintain regular trade relations with Poland, to where exports were made in 2017 worth 51 million euros. Twelve Cantabrian companies maintain trade relations on a regular basis with Hungary to where we export especially capital goods and semi-manufactures. Five companies from Cantabria maintain stable and continuous trade relations with Slovakia. The value of exports amounts to 4 million euros, a figure that has remained constant over the last three years. And seven Cantabrian companies maintain trade relations with the Czech Republic, with an average value of exports to the country of 18 million euros.

The event focused on the technological company and the Smart City, was attended by Dávid Vitézy, urban mobility expert, former manager of the Budapest Transport Company; Martin Sperka, First Secretary for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Slovakia; Zdenka Kostik Šubrová, First Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic; Marzenna Adamczyk, Ambassador of Poland as well as Szilvia Bognár. Five Hungarian entrepreneurs took part in the meeting, Ruben Bántó from Electromega, József Cseh from Platio, Tibor Dobai from Route4U and Csaba Kató and Palicz Péter from E TMRW Hotels, who discussed the Smart Hotel. On behalf of Slovakia, Matej Michlík, from NiceVisions, Martin Pribila from Mole-house and on behalf of the Cantabrian technology company, Marcos Diaz, Manager of Maflow and the President of Ascentic, Pablo de Castro.
