Maflow Spain participates in the Innovation Commission held by Gira Cantabria

With traceability, both in terms of process and components, as its central focus, GIRA held another meeting of its Innovation Committee at the facilities of Chassis Brakes International Spain.

Pablo Fernández, Engineering Director, and Arturo Diez, Head of IT and SAP at the plant, opened the day with a brief presentation of the Buelna factory, then quickly focused on the new brake assembly line and its traceability requirements, both in terms of process and those required by OEMs for automotive components. A round of presentations followed, during which attendees discussed the traceability projects being developed at each of their factories. The day concluded with three presentations:

  1. – David Pérez of CIC presented a project carried out at Bridgestone on tire traceability in a vulcanization environment.
  2. – Cristina Méndez, also from CIC, presented the IDBOX traceability module, a set of software components that allows for monitoring industrial, energy, and smart processes, integrating all available data sources, processing all collected signals, and offering monitoring and analysis tools that enable operational decisions.
  3. – Finally, Fernando Moreno, from SAYME, gave a presentation on sentracking, an IoT solution for indoor and outdoor asset tracking.

The meeting was attended by the Engineering, IT and processes managers of the main automotive component manufacturers in Cantabria: BRIDGESTONE, CHASSIS BRAKES INTENATIONAL SPAIN, CENTRO TECNOLÓGICO DE COMPONENTES, GLOBAL STEEL WIRE, INDUSTRIAS JACINTO HERRERO, ROBERT BOSCH ESPAÑA FÁBRICA TRETO, TALLERES ORAN and MAFLOW SPAIN AUTOMOTIVE , manufacturer of connection hoses for mobile air conditioning systems, represented by Luis Senach and Pablo Salces.

GIRA's objective with these meetings is to promote collaboration, as well as the exchange of information and best practices among the various member companies, partners, technology and knowledge centers, and public agencies to foster R&D&I in the automotive sector in Cantabria.
